My obsession at the moment is a new album I have been writing over the past year. I’ve been in the studio lately, and it is getting close to finished! Then I’ll be working on the process (and funds!) for mastering and release on various platforms and media. It’s a clean, sparkly, electric singer songwriter album, very intimate sounding, and a deep dive lyrically. I look forward to putting it out into the world!

I’ve been writing, playing and recording original songs with my best friends and bandmates in The Far Criers for over 30 years now, even as we’ve been dispersed around the country and sometimes around the world. Right now I’m also having fun playing out to entertain myself and others with (mostly) covers of music that I like (see a youtube playlist of 20 of those songs here). My repertoire includes music from Stax, Motown, Memphis blues artists, folk and traditional music like Woody Guthrie, classic country artists like Hank Sr, Johnny Cash, and Merle Haggard, first generation rock and roll like Elvis and Chuck Berry, The Beatles, classic rock artists like CCR, Neil Young, Allman Brothers, Eagles, and more.

I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee playing music, and the love for Memphis music is a theme that runs deeper than ever. I have lived in Texas, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, and now back in Indiana, serenading the Circle City and beyond. But my heartbeat and my toetaps keep going back to 706 Union , 926 East McLemore, Beale St, and that big muddy river.
